Case Study about Mercury-Amalgam-Filling-Induced Stress

Mrs. K. (age 52) has some preservatives and artificial colors intolerances. This is stress, especially chronic stress for the body as well. Her GP advised to remove all mercury amalgam filling followed by a detoxification but unfortunately without any success. All symptoms remained, some of them got worse. Why?

She has several symptoms such as:

  • Chronic cold (only treatment with antibiotics)
  • Sleep problems (more under stress)
  • Fatigue
  • High blood pressure (more under stress)
  • Pain in the limbs/joint pain (more under stress)
  • Weariness
  • General malaise (more under stress conditions)

My Recommendation & Individual Dosage in this Case

The case was clear for me. Removing of mercury amalgam filling releases toxic wastes and this caused her immune system great strain and distress.

The usual detoxification with homeopathy, cilantro, chlorella or wild garlic, has a powerful effect on the liver but not on the immune system because all the released toxic substances are absorbed by the mucosa and circulate in the body weakening the immune system continually.

Her immune system, which is very important for stress-balance, was weak. In case of too much stress, we can be sure that our immune system is down. Yes, the classic stressors are due to the daily hectic lives, time pressure or overwork, but heavy metals and toxins (f.e. by mercury amalgam filling) cause stress as well. The hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis is the middle point of stress. Ours immune system watches & guides this axis.

Heavy metals cause some nutritional deficiencies f.e. zinc, chromium, manganese, magnesium and vitamin C etc. These deficits cause more stress reactions in the body. Heavy metals remain for a long time in the body and damage the immune system. We must not forget that the immune system is our own protecting wall (guard wall) against toxins, heavy metals, viruses, bacteria and any other enemy that the body may assault. All types of stress, especially chronic stress assault our protecting wall, making it fragile and hence making it easy for the enemies to penetrate it easily.

Phase 1 Treatment (in this case study for 10 days)

In the Morning:

  • 500 mg Beta-D-1,3/1,6-Glucan (natural immune modulator)
  • 1000 mg Ester-C powder with B-vitamins, minerals, trace minerals (without copper) and alpha Liponic acid
  • 500 mg Acai

Evenings (6.00 or 7.00 P.M.):

  • 500 mg Acai
  • 1000 mg Ester-C powder with B-vitamins, minerals, trace minerals (without copper) and alpha Liponic acid

Phase 2 Treatment (in this case study for 3 weeks)

In the Morning:

  • 500 mg Betaglucan
  • 100 mg Ester-C powder with B-vitamins, minerals, trace minerals (without copper) and alpha Liponic acid
  • 100 mg milk thistle

Midday:

  • 500 mg Betaglucan
  • 1000 mg Ester-C powder with B-vitamins, minerals, trace minerals (without copper) and alpha Liponic acid
  • 20 mg chlorophyll

Evenings:

  • 500 mg Betaglucan
  • 1000 mg Acai

Background Information in this Case

Heavy metals cause oxidative stress in the body. This form of stress reduces the level of antioxidative substances which plays an important in neutralizing heavy metals and generally toxins.

Betaglucan: This is a natural food-based dietary supplement purified from the cell wall of baker’s yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae). Betaglucan is for me the best or most favourable dietary supplement natural of detoxification and the patients have a real chance for a better life quality & health conditions. Betaglucan operates as immunmodulator and at the same time is a good antioxidant.

Acai: The Acai is a fruit that grows on the Acai palm Trees in the Amazon Rainforest of Brazil. It has lot of fiber. It contains 27 grams of fiber in every 100 gr. of freeze dried Acai powder. Fiber is important for detox process. Acai also is a great immune booster and is rich of antioxidants. I recommend dietary Acai supplements especially for chronic stress in combination with Betaglucan.

Chlorophyll: It is the green pigment in plants. Chlorophyll is highly cleansing, it helps support detoxification in the body by eliminating toxins/heavy metals that can damage health. It also acts as a natural internal body deodorant and cleanser. I prefer chlorophyll, but recommend it along with an immune support. This combination I see as very important. Detoxification without supporting immune system causes immune stress!

Milk Thistle: Silymarin is the key active compound in milk thistle. Silymarin is ideal to support environmental-induced stress by f.e. heavy metals and general toxins.

This substance can increase Glutathione production in the liver by around 30 %. Silymarin also increases the activity of SOD/super oxid dismutase in red and white blood cells.

Ester-C: I prefer the natural metabolites of ester C which provides quicker absorption and longer retention than the other form of vitamin C such as ascorbic acid. Ester C is an acid neutralized form of vitamin C with non-irritating to the digestive system. Vitamin C is very important for many detoxifying function in the body. I recommended an ester-c powder in combination with all minerals, trace elements (without copper), B-vitamins and alpha-Liponic acid. Alpha-Liponic acid is an powerful antioxidant, that helps increase Glutathione. It is helpful in the detoxification by heavy metals.

Goji Berries: They are important to support a healthy immune system (i.a. for stress balance) and intercellular communication too. The Goji berry is an ideal detox-fruit, which can help to digestion, liver boost. It reduces free radicals and supports also the natural immune boost. It increases the activity of SOD/super oxid dismutase and Glutathione. Both substances are active detox-ingredients. I recommended in this case two cups Goji berry tea in the evening.

Preparation: 1 cup boiling water for 2 tsp. dried Goji berries steep it for at least 20 minutes. Add natural sweetener the best for me is Stevia white extract powder.

Natural Pectin: I recommended eating fresh fruits with much pectin (f.e. cactus fig, apple, orange). Pectin is helpful for all detoxifying process. Fresh vegetables was recommended as well.

Results in this Case: After 10 days, the first symptoms such as general malaise, fatigue, pain in the limbs/joint pain got better. Two weeks later, other symptoms got better as well and we could begin a individual treatment for allergy and other symptoms.
